BlurDrop — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and BlurDrop ("BlurDrop", "we", "us"), the operator of the BlurDrop mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, to our Privacy Policy, and to our Community Guidelines. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use BlurDrop. During sign-up we ask for your date of birth and apply an age gate; accounts we believe belong to underage users are removed. You must provide accurate information and may not create an account for anyone else.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. One account per person. Don't impersonate others, share your account, or use it to break these Terms. Notify us at support@blurdrop.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. What the Service does

BlurDrop lets you create a "challenge" — a photo, video, or text hidden behind a blur — and share a link to it. When someone opens the link, the app records their face reaction as the content is revealed, and produces a split-screen reel of the hidden content and the reaction. Free and PRO tiers offer different limits and features (Section 8). The Service has no friends list, direct messages, or public feed; sharing happens through links you distribute yourself.

4. Your content and the rights you grant

You keep ownership of the content you create or record on BlurDrop ("Your Content"). To operate the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service (including moderation, video processing/stitching, and delivery). This license ends when Your Content is deleted, except for copies retained for legal, safety, or backup purposes for a limited time.

You represent that you have the rights to Your Content, that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights, and that it complies with these Terms and the Community Guidelines. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to follow our Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms. In short, you may not use BlurDrop to share or hide sexual content, content that sexualizes or endangers minors, violence or gore, hate, harassment, self-harm content, others' private information, illegal material, spam, or anything that infringes others' rights — and you may not use the blur mechanic to expose someone to prohibited content or use a reaction to harm someone.

6. Safety, moderation, and enforcement

We work to keep BlurDrop safe using the following safeguards. No moderation system is perfect, and we don't guarantee that all violating content will be detected or prevented — but we actively operate the measures below:

• Age gate. Access requires meeting the minimum age; underage accounts are removed.
• Automated moderation before reveal. Content is automatically screened (including for sexual content) when a challenge is created. Content that hasn't passed screening cannot be revealed to a recipient or reacted to — the blur is not lifted until the content passes.
• Manual review. Content in a "gray area", and content that is reported, is placed in a review queue and assessed by our team. We aim to review reports within 24 hours, and content in the most serious categories may be hidden automatically while under review.
• Reporting. You can report a challenge, a reaction, or a profile from within the app.
• Blocking. You can block another user; a blocked user can no longer open your challenges or interact with you.
• Enforcement. We may remove content, limit features, warn, suspend, or permanently ban accounts, and we may report activity to law enforcement.
• Child safety. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material. Such content results in an immediate permanent ban, preservation of evidence, and reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant authorities, as required by law.

We may, but are not obligated to, monitor content, and we may remove or restrict content or accounts that we reasonably believe violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines, with or without notice.

7. Reactions and face recording

Recording your face is the core function of the Service. When you record a reaction, you consent to your device camera and microphone capturing your face and voice for that reaction, and to that reaction being sent to the person who created the challenge. Record only yourself, in a setting where you're comfortable being on camera, and don't record other people without their knowledge or consent. The person who created a challenge may download a split-screen reel of the hidden content and your reaction; you are responsible for how you share reactions and reels, and you must not use them to harass, embarrass, or endanger anyone.

8. Subscriptions and payments

BlurDrop offers an optional paid subscription, PRO (currently $4.99/month or $29.99/year; prices may vary by region and may change). PRO unlocks additional slots, longer challenges, Authentic Mode, watermark-free downloads, and higher-quality output.

• Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play (and managed with the help of RevenueCat), subject to their terms. We do not receive your full payment details.
• Subscriptions are auto-renewable: they renew for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID / Google Play account settings — not within BlurDrop.
• Restore purchases is available in the app.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we generally cannot issue refunds directly.
• We may change PRO features or pricing prospectively; material changes will be communicated.

9. Links and sharing

Challenge links are distributed by you. You are responsible for whom you send a link to and where you post it. If you post a link publicly, anyone with the link may open the challenge and react. Don't distribute links in a way that spams, deceives, or harasses others.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and the BlurDrop name and logo, belongs to us and is protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service. If you believe content on BlurDrop infringes your copyright, contact support@blurdrop.com; we respond to valid notices and remove infringing content under our copyright/DMCA process.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (including the app stores, cloud infrastructure, payment and analytics providers, and content-moderation providers). Their services are governed by their own terms, and we're not responsible for them. A list of the providers that process personal data is in our Privacy Policy.

12. Termination

You may stop using BlurDrop and delete your account at any time — in the app or via the web form at blurdrop.com/delete. Deletion is processed after a grace period (currently 30 days), after which your data is removed except for limited records we're required or permitted to keep. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or to protect the Service or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (content license limitations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity) survive.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that content will always be appropriately moderated. You use the Service at your own risk.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others, to the extent permitted by law.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll post the updated Terms with a new effective date, and significant changes will be communicated in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
